I come from a large deaf family which make me Deaf culturally person and native ASL user. My education hailed from Gallaudet University; BA in ASL teaching and Masters in Deaf Education. I teach, tutor and consul in ASL field for 15+ years.I can tailor my instruction to your needs and skills. I can offer from beginner to conversational. For beginner, we cover basic ABC’s , 123’s, and survival signs. We can go on your pace. I am also available for tutoring/practicing ASL skills for high school and college students who need to pass their courses or interpreters want to brush up for Interpreter Certification Tests. Baby Talk is the rage now. I can help you to get the conversation started between you and your baby.There is variety of subjects that I can teach: deaf culture, finger spelling, facial expressions, idioms, history, chatting for practice, receptive and expressive skills, interaction with deaf, working with deaf-blind people.Flexibility is the key!

Laura was great in our first lesson. We had difficulty with the camera, but after getting that fixed, we were able to learn some interesting things. I definitely would recommend her for anyone learning ASL.
