I have a bachelors degree.
I am a member of Phi Sigma Iota (foreign language honors society).
I have taught Korean senior citizens at my local retirement home how to speak English for one year.
I have taught Korean college students English for two years.
I have been involved in Japanese and American student exchange programs for 2 years. I have been a student in Japan living with a host family for one year and I have also hosted for a Japanese student in the USA for a year.
For six months I have gone on mission programs with my church to various parts of Latin America in an effort to spread Spanish literacy and train the local people for a future in teaching English.
I have taught my Sunday school class and youth group at my Church the Korean language for three years.

This was my first Korean lesson with Ginny, and it was terrific! I speak/write no Korean, but after our first lesson I had an understanding of Hangul that I never expected to have after only an hour! Ginny is very positive and reviews as she goes along to help you remember the hangul. I'm already looking forward to my next lesson!
This was my third session with Ginny and it was great as the others! She is very fun to learn from. I really recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Korean!!
The second session put into better context much of the knowledge of the alphabet. Ginny is very good at returning to review past information while learning new things. Further, she is patient, but sure to let me know when I haven't got something quite right.
We did a review session today, and it was perfect timing. It really helped solidify the things we went over, and clarified some of the questions that I had. Another exceptional lesson!
My first comment. Although it is particularly difficult at first go and I think it is usually difficult anyways for first time Korean learners. On the other hand I think anyone can learn Korean easily if they really enjoy it. My first impression, first lesson, Ginny is a great Korean teacher and I think learning interactively here has been significantly convenient for me and many others who wants to learn Korean but haven't had any luck finding a Korean tutor. For this reason I absolutely recommend it.
Every lesson gets better and better she makes thing easier to remember and so fun to learn, truly worth her money!
It was clear from the onset that Ginny knew what she was going to teach. She was incredibly well prepared, and this helped us clip along. She's patient and helpful, ready to clarify. I'll definitely be coming back
We continued by learning Korean numbers (which are more confusing than you'd expect), but Ginny made it easy, and everything made sense! She also did a good job incorporating some things into the new lesson from previous ones, which was good for review even though it was applicable to the new subject we were working on!
Not only is she ready but she has an awesome ability to explain things to you in ways you can understand and memorize it. am looking forward to more lessons. ^.^
I had my first lesson with Ginny ,and out of all my tutors she was the best. She was very patient, and she was very nice to me. She waited on me when I had trouble understanding something ,so I have to recommend her for anyone who wants to learn korean or japanese or anyother language that she teaches. Again ,Ginny was a great teacher.
The second lesson built perfectly on the first. Even though we were only studying greetings, she was able to integrate the previous lesson (alphabet) into it and make me practice / review while learning new phrases. I learned a lot! 감사함니다 (i think?)
Ginny is great. We went through some grammar and vocabulary and she even taught me about Japanese culture. I'm looking forward to my next lesson with her.
Ginny was the most prepared tutor I have ever seen. She had a power point presentation ready, it was very thorough, and she did a good job making very complicated things simple (or, at least, as simple as they could be)! It was a great lesson, I learned a lot, and will definitely be going back to Ginny soon to learn some more. She is a natural teacher! I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to learn Korean.
Ginny had a wonderful presentation for me, which is a plus for a visual learner. She was patient, and kind of held my hand when I did not get something. I feel like I really learned a lot today!

Today I had my first lesson with Ginny and she is very nice and personable I think! Because I was very nervous to try to use edufire, but I became comfortable after talking with her. I knew some Korean before we started, so I think she did a good job tailoring the lesson as well as she could to my current ability. It was challenging, but not too hard! I think she is a great teacher!
Ginny is very patient, comes prepared to her lessons (way more prepared than anyone will expect), and seems to really enjoy teaching, which makes it more fun for the student. She has a wide array of teaching experience, which means she can work well with all kinds of people. She makes learning Korean fun and interesting, and I highly recommend her!
