VLOG OF THE WEEK >> The song “Working Class Hero”
written & performed by John Lennon
This week I remember John Lennon.
On the 28th anniversary of his death on December 8th, I’ll offer a free class in which I’ll give a short slideshow lecture and then open the classroom up for a roundtable discussion. Please join in!
Information and links to registration for the 2 class sessions posted here: http://edufire.com/forums/7/topics/1536

HELLO! I’M DJ NOELLE. I TUTOR ONLINE AT EDUFIRE AND IN-PERSON AT LOCAL UNIVERSITIES IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.
Also, I tutor college-prep (high school) students and ESL/EFL students. I work with writing and related skills, such as test preparation, public speaking, note taking, developing theses and term papers, and doing research.
LANGUAGES THAT I SPEAK: English and French
Languages that I’ve studied and am studying again now: Italian, Spanish, Japanese, and Latin
I am a professionally trained editor and published author of nonfiction and technical articles. I’ve got expert skills in English vocabulary, grammar, syntax, spelling, pronounciation, and annunciation.
I’ve found that I’m very good at helping others advance their own speaking and writing skills for school, scholarly work, business, or travel purposes.
I am conversant in many professions, trades, and academic subjects; therefore, I can help you to speak and write well in your chosen field of work or study.
I enjoy tutoring, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Should this testimonial say something like we laughed so hard sometimes that my stomach hurt? Or am I going talk more along the lines of how great DJ is? Which is more important to this tutoring audience? To me, both are!!
I couldn't have gotten through writing papers and exam essays without DJ's skill, advice, and sense of humor. I couldn't have gotten 'A' grades, or even passed some (all) of my science papers. It was a tutoring experience that helped me achieve more, that's for sure. But it also changed the way I see myself as a student and as a professional entering a new field.
I finished my study program and am working now. I'll probably start an advanced program in the next year. It's great to know that I have DJ's promise to tutor me in person. Since I like eduFire, it would make it easier if we could also work online!
