Tutor
I’m currently a senior in high school in Virginia, USA taking my second year of International Baccalaureate English and have taken a Creative Writing class which focuses on not only creativity but grammar as well. I do not speak any other languages fluently but I’m here to help advanced students learning English to correct their sentence structure, grammar, and spelling.
I also teach beginners Japanese. I have currently finished taking an online Japanese course through Keystone Online High School and have started taking Japanese II, but I feel more comfortable teaching the basics. Please no intermediates or advanced students.
Some of my favorite Japanese things:
Shows – Hana Yori Dango, Furuba, Hana Kimi, and Death Note
Movies – Death Note 1 & 2, Zatoichi, Shinobi, and Hara Kiri
Music – Ayumi Hamasaki, Aqua Timez, MiniMoni, and BoA
In my spare time I do tech theatre (I’m currently assistant director for our Halloween play), I sing (I’m in my school’s Madrigal choir), and overall hanging out with my friends.
I can’t wait to meet you! がんばって!

Kate is a really nice person with a bright personality, and she knows a lot about how the Japanese language works! (And, not to mention, she doesn't care whether her students are getting attacked by middle-schoolers and plush monkeys at all. =D) Thanks again, Kate! I learned a lot!
Kate is outgoing, bright, and funny!!
She has a great personality and honestly, anybody can be her friend.
I am only one of the thousands that have seen her fabulous japanese lessons. I hope she can get the front page of youtube someday.
Kate is a very good teacher, and you can take her seriously since shes almost in college. Her lessons are bright, cheery and with a lot of expression. I would highly recommend her as a tutor.
Arigatou, Kate-san!! :P
